57 years of fixing New Zealand properties.
If you look after a fleet of homes or light-commercial buildings, we want your work. Urgent jobs get a crew the same day, and the work is done by local tradespeople who own their own businesses.

~$0
A patch, plaster and paint. A job this size works in our model as well as a full rebuild does.
~0 days
Jobs under $10,000 are usually finished inside a month.
$0+
A full rebuild after a fire or a slip. The big end. Same team, same systems.
One visit. One job sheet. Nothing hidden on it.
A builder and a scoper go out together. The builder makes the house safe. The scoper records the damage on a ten-minute video call while the hub writes and prices the scope. By the time the van leaves, the client has a priced scope.
Job 10,412
Karori, Wellington · received 02:40 · tenant called 02:49 · client and property manager on file
- 01
Assigned
The work order comes in. One regional manager owns it from this moment to handover.
- 02
Make safe and scope
The builder tarps the roof and clears the hazard. The scoper films the lot, in 3D if it's big. A plumber or sparky joins the call if needed. The tenant only has to be home once.
- 03
Priced
Every line priced against the client's agreed rates before the call ends, so the job is ready to approve that day.
- 04
Safety plan sent
Apollo writes the site plan from the scope and sends it to the crew's phones. Pre-start checks are signed off on site.
- 05
Repaired
An Alliance crew does the work. Photos go up from site. Find more damage behind a wall, and the variation goes to the client the same day.
- 06
Costs matched
Supplier invoices are read and matched to the job as they arrive, so the cost is known as it happens rather than at month end.
- 07
Handed over
Quality checked by an inspector who doesn't work for the crew. Signed off. The whole record stays in Eden.
Local trades who own their businesses.
We don't carry a big payroll. We run the Alliance: more than 1,100 members and affiliated trades from Northland to Otago, each a local trade business contracted directly to us on the same agreement, in our uniforms and our vans. When a job comes in, the regional manager offers it to the member best placed to do it. They run it, bring in their own subbies where they need them, and are paid weekly per job.

A Wellington firm since 1969
Peter Taylor and Ron Duncan started the firm in Wellington as builders and decorators. Work for insurers, retirement villages and housing providers followed, and today nearly all our work is for other businesses. Still run by people who came up through the trades.

1980s. New foundations under the Wellington Cable Car. Ours.

1990s. Brent Taylor, Peter's son, joins as a director.

2017. Vince Gregan, who started here as a 16-year-old plumbing apprentice, comes back to run the place. He sets up the Alliance.

2023. Crews relocate to Hawke's Bay after Cyclone Gabrielle. 2024: ten thousandth job, and Manawatū opens at a client's request.
Our own software, built for this work.
Six tools written by our own developers sit on top of the job record. Clients log into the same job we do, and every action on it is logged with who did it and when.
